Red Deer Community for Jazz Music

The Red Deer Community for Jazz Music is an incorporated non-profit, run entirely by volunteers. It runs the free Community Jazz Jam on the last Saturday of every month, 2–3 PM, and the annual Red Deer Jazz Festival. It is funded by ticket sales, memberships and sponsors.

Positions

Festival presenting sponsor — $1,500

Per festival. One only. The whole festival week. Thanked from the stage at the feature concert. Your name in the program and on signage. A dedicated email to the Downbeat list. Credited on the concert recording. Tagged photos from every night.

Night sponsor — $600

Per night. One per night. Thanked from the stage and named on signage that night. Named in the post about that night. Tagged photos.

Jam supporter — $480 a year

Twelve jams. Named at each monthly jam, on this site’s jam listing all year, and in a line in the monthly Downbeat email.

Smaller placements

  • A dedicated Downbeat email: $150
  • Named in a post: $100
  • A listing in the festival program: $100
  • Sponsor one month’s jam: $75
  • A social media post: $50

Goods or services count at their retail value toward any position. Covering an artist’s fee for a night takes that night’s position.

Terms

  1. Every sponsor’s name or logo is labelled as sponsorship. A logo never appears on its own.
  2. A sponsorship buys placement. It does not buy a say in who plays, what they play, or what anyone says from the stage.
  3. The position, the price and what it includes are confirmed in writing before you pay.
  4. Logos and wording for the festival are due eight weeks before it. After that, your name appears in text only. You approve a proof before anything is printed.
  5. Within a week of the event you receive a short report: where your name appeared, with screenshots and photos.
  6. Line-ups, running order and venues can change, and a change of programme is not grounds for a refund. If RDCJM cancels an event, you choose: your placement moves to the next event, or the price of that event’s placements is refunded.
  7. RDCJM is not a registered charity. A sponsorship is not a donation, and no tax receipt is issued.
  8. RDCJM can decline a sponsorship.
